    Arranging a whole album in ableton

    break each song down to a few groups of elements, maybe drums, vocals, samples. that way you're not trying to wrangle every track from every song, but have more flexibility than if you were just arranging full songs.

    not sure what you're referring to but: theres an added synth besides the pieces from the sample. it just matches the harmony already present in the sample.

    @djfeedme - this is too close to the original for me. its not bad, its actually quite good. you added some nice elements, but I'd like to hear it flipped. it didn't feel like it changed enough. sounds closer to a remake than a flip. and all this really needs is an emcee @2good - the piano...

    I generally make beats for me or slide them to emcees i know, who will USE them. I have no problem playing repo man on unused beats either. I have a few tracks placed with pump audio. I've made maybe $500 in the past 10 years with them. wasn't worth it for me. I love remixing whole albums, and...

    prolly 5 tops. i usually change the beat 3 or 4 times before i settle on an arrangement. if i did nothing but loop and add drums i could go 20.
