    I sold my 2000xl for the 2500 I like it way better because it has more features and its a more self contained unit like dude said earlier go to the official site and compare specs but if u can get the 2500 for around the same price its the way to go

    the mv-8000 has more features and capability on paper but is more diffficult to use the 4000 is more user friendly and does not hender ur creative flow but its all opinion you'll have to learn to use either machine regardless of which one u get

    keep the g4 for recording any mpc series for making beats and a sound module for synthesizer and instant drum sounds, u can also build ur own drums by sampling from the vinyl it just takes time I thought u said hardware also
