    Westworld scoring competition

Thank you dude. Your piece of advice is appreciated and duly noted ! I already had the idea to add orchestral percussions when she gives him the gun. To give it a military feel or something... because I have only used those drum machines beats as percussive elements... so it could contrast a bit...

    Westworld scoring competition

Thanks. I have a lot of fun making beats. I have a lot of fun composing and playing guitar but recording it is a nightmare. It's the first time I score for a video and I must seriously say I seldom had this much fun making music. You all should give it a try. (If your cpu allows it of course).

    Izotope Music Maker's Bundle

Sounds interesting... I will look into it. I've trialed Breaktweaker in the past and it didn't really work for me... or I couldn't wrap my head around it, idk. Any of you guys use Breaktweaker in your beats? Or stutter edit?

    Beat This! - May 6-7, 2020

Yes the sound quality is shit. Flow-wise we've heard much worse. Anyway, it's much better than my 12 years old attempts at rapping.

    Music that feels like Home?

I think "home" means music that is "familiar" but also a "nice and warm" feel to it.

    Music that feels like Home?

@ArvinArmani It's at the end of the first "Creed" movie... Rocky talking with Donnie Creed. "...from here" is the top of Philadelphia Museum's stairs. You've seen the Rocky movies, right ?

The music side of music is the boring one. The other two sides being drug and sex.

How did you start making beats ?

@Fade So you haven't been through the dead guy's pockets? You haven't been to the mysterious storage/locker thing with the hood and the shades? You haven't insulted your uncle? You haven't been jumpscared by a fuckin' cat? ... So the question remains : If it was to happen, what would you do...

@ArvinArmani Don't get me wong, I like a poll... But I don't need a poll to know wether Protect ya neck is dope or not. Is this kind of music popular today ? Again... No need for a poll... Which is sad. Also, taste in music evolve over the years and, often expand. I have no doubt you now like...

    Help A Sista Out

Yes, take the leap. Really, nowadays the barriers to entry are so low to this thing... Daws take care of the music theory for you and you got so many tutorials on youtube. However if you're not sure about how much fun you will have, you might want to try yourself before buying a real Daw which...

    Filtering drums

Have you tried Izotope RX 7 to clean things up from your sample ? Yes, it is pricy and I can't promise it works but it has "re-balance" plugin that's supposed to be able to take away drums from an audio track... I had tried it on several occasions and it worked about half the time. (If you...

    Stules Tips

Yes, I have been using one since very recently (like a week or so)... And yes, it makes it less boring and much quicker. But I still don't have fun while doing it... To me it's like gain staging... it's a task I have to perform but not something I enjoy... Sometimes I have fun programming my...
