    Clipping above my mixing IQ

Now I want to experiment something... I will make a beat and reamp ALL my tracks into some pedals and amps to see how dirty I can get it, but good dirty.

    Clipping above my mixing IQ

I like to think of gain staging as a guitarist. Meaning, looking at all the several gain stages that happen in the chain. An EQ boost is a gain stage. Like a boost pedal can distort a guitar signal. If the signal gets distorted, lowering the amp at the end of the chain does not make it a clean...

    Clipping above my mixing IQ

I was curious about your question but I'm too unfamiliar with Ableton to know for sure... But I came accross this video It seems to be about your issue. At 1'20'' guy says the volume running to your EQ is pre-fader, as @Iron Keys said :p. Looking at your background grey area it looks clipping...

R.A. the Rugged Man - Who Do We Trust? ft. Immortal Technique

I adooore Immortal Technique. "Industrial Revolution" is one of my favorite. And I think it's punchline o'clock here in France so : "here's a quotable for every single record exec "Get your fuckin' hands out my pocket nigga" like Malcolm X".

    Your Deep Dark Side

Ok I got it... it's the search history when you click that you want to laugh at... but I disabled the recording of search history. So there's nothing there. If there was, it would be "cubase tempo track" and "cubase sync marker track" and "cubase this..." and "cubase that..."... And I disabled...

Spitfire Audio's Free Orchestral Library - [FIRST LOOK]

My previous explanation was confusing and possibly wrong. Both legato and portamento mean several notes are bowed in a single continuous motion. In legato however, the fingering hand does not slide from note to note. So it's a continuous "sound" changing pitch instantly whereas portamento...

    Beat This! - May 20-21, 2020

Hahaha... You know, I had to google "new trap 2020" to come up with a name for my joke. I was going for Drake at first but then I thought some people might not get it. I'm dead serious now. I can't name even one of her songs... Did I just lose my last point mentioning Drake ?

    Beat This! - May 20-21, 2020

I dunno. Unless I come up with something else by next wednesday, I'm dropping a real outdated beat. And I mean reeeaaal old stuff. Like pre-Cardi B old, I dare say.

    Fatality FIGHT! Battle #22

That was me. I seldom pick the winner. I'm starting to think getting my vote is like breaking a mirror. It brings bad luck... I don't know how long it lasts though.

    Fatality FIGHT! Battle #25

    I'm sure the 3rd is @Simon&Garfunkel

    Fatality FIGHT! Battle #25

Hahaha yes. Like those "white on white" paintings... Guy sold blank canvas for millions, so why not a silent beat taking the win here.

This makes me think I always loved the bassline in the intro of "sing for the moment" by Eminem. Great example of bassline legato.

What bass for sustained trap bass??

Just an idea here. If you have a granular synth, drop an 808 sample into it then set it up so that it freezes when you sustain your midi note and play the tail on release. I don't know if that would work... Edit : Hey I did my first tutorial !!! Well I'm just showing you what I mean here.

Legato is a style of playing an instrument where one note glides into the next. So the pitch changes but it's like a single note in terms of envelope. If you dont have legato, you will have the note's attack everytime you hit a new note. If you're going for bowed instruments to sound natural you...

Peter Gundry - "Till Death Do Us Part"

@SwayeeBoogie that's a dope one ! I like the evolution throughout. @crosstevsky I really like what you did with the vocals. that's really creative and I think it works very well. @Edgar That's a very decent beat. However, the kick is a bit overwhelming the rest of the beat on my speakers. It...

    Westworld scoring competition

Ok I updated the URL in my first post with some minor changes. I couldn't do what I said properly so I slightly modified but nothing major. I think this is the definitive thing now.
