    I’m guessing he needs to check “release driver in background” or something like that in his DAW but I need to confirm the DAW. If one needs tech support giving us lots of information is the key.

    I wanted an mk1 but I discovered that a late mki and early mkii are the same, just slightly cheaper and it has a flat top so you can stack another keyboard on top. Perfect for a live gig.

    What DAW is it? What keyboard model is it? What is the model of your audio interface? What driver are you using for said interface? We really need a lot more info to help.

    @nikwen To answer the Reddit question, yes get your lawyer involved and have them handle it. I sign so many contracts these days my lawyer is always busy. It sucks that you need that but as you move up in this industry its a reality that you need a lawyer.

    Steal away. It doesn't matter. If the track goes somewhere I can prove its mine, and people that steal beats don't have long careers anyway. I have plenty more songs in me, I will just make another. The thief won't.

    I have been a big fan of the power grid distortion over the years, you can pick one up for $120 on eBay I have two and love them. Distortion can be a bit subjective so ymmv.

    What’s your budget? I know it’s a lot but the best thing on the planet that I know of for this is Elektrons Analog heat. It’s remarkable, but there is nothing it can’t do. And it’s not the cheapest thing in the world but boy does it rock.
