Yep, awesome family still... I'm back to work and it's nothing related to music nor is it remotely interesting. So I'm happy I could find time to cook something for this one.

I somehow found my way into a hollywood article!!

It's really the kind of music I'm absolutely not sensitive to... but, it's fine... I saw her figures on Spotify... people seem to like her music. I must be wired different... it's okay.

... pfff and now if I win, I would have won the one 2Good was out... Seriously, it's important to be discerning good from bad. I wish that Paloma Faith knew... Hey @Armani, look! She's already my reference in terms of shit music.

Maybe she just went, took a dump and forgot you even existed... I mean, yeah she was mad but maybe she's just crazy... how can you judge so easily. Nah seriously, I had to google her... never heard her name before today.

    When to use techniques?

Yes. Well, I'm sure you know how they work but for the sake of being accurate, the "sound" is going through as an electric signal... it's part of an electric circuit to add reverb to a signal. Just like plate reverbs using plates... I was picturing someone attaching springs to a box of shoes...

The ultimate dilemma: deaf or blind?

@2GooD Productions ... I see you laughed at my silly joke. Looking back into it 2 days later, I feel ashamed of myself. She's an angel on my shoulder, looking after me.

    When to use techniques?

About jeffrey epstein, now that you found your way into the Hollywood gazette, you probably know more than we do  And as a guitarist, spring reverb is my sexy best friend...

    When to use techniques?

and to make your bass come out even on phones' tiny speakers... remember 95% of music is now listened to on smartphones.

    When to use techniques?

I think you first need to wonder what you're trying to achieve. Before you apply any of these techniques, wyou need to know why. If the sound in your head is "less snappy" or "more crunched"... then you know what to do. Techniques are a mean to an end. I think you need a clear idea first... or a...

How do I mix vocals to sound like this #2 (Rock-ish distorted)

You could have your vocals divided into 2 separate parallel channels. One clean. The other one with a gate only opening when the vocal reaches the desired volume and then distort this channel only and sidechain-compressing the clean one... Does that make sense?

How do I make my synth sound "lighter"?

Using something like Izotope Ozone "Match EQ" plugin is a good shortcut for such a task. I did try reproducing it with the Match EQ + first piano on hand (Spitfire LABS Soft piano, which is free btw) and got some "not bad" results. So yes, extreme EQ settings seems to be what you're after...
