    is it me or is the majority of this site is sample crazy.

    If i could afford some good synths, just like everybody else, i think that i woulod be composing too, but not everybody has those funds and samplers tend to be less expensive and imo easier to come by.

    you mean the khz or the bit rate? I dont think the bit rate can, but you might be able to switch from 44.1khz

    I think your goin overboard on some of that. I hear good things about the microkontrol, but every thing else you listed was kinda too much. $400 for your first mic, and a $600 preamp? I dont know how much money your gettin but you could still set your budget lower.
