Which type of music do you sample the most?
I've heard some pretty good celtic songs worthy of sampling........As for the music I most look for are old soul songs, and rock songs from like the 70's. Has anyone heard of TheYardBirds? Its the singer from Led Zepplin, Eric Clapton and a few other guys before they did their own... -

I say if its dope, its dope....period. basslines vs melody
I honestly think a good bassline is the hardest part of producing. Sometimes leaving it simple sounds good, like when you just follow the kick, but I like when the bass creates its own melody.......Everyone here is pretty on point though, you don't have to have a bass line, it's your art do what... -
scrapping a song
I agree with that every track is not for every emcee but I think that it doesn't have anything to do with it not being your own track. I rhyme over my own stuff all the time, and also over other producers beats, but it seems to me that there are just days that you wont feel certian beats and you... -

Can u play a real instrument?
I play Guitar, Piano/keyboard, and Drums. Out of the three I'm am pretty good on the guitar, my piano skills i would say i'm still learning....like different chord progressions and with the drums i'm not great but I played for a church for awhile...lol......it was a bunch of old people singing... -

i've had time to listen to both cd's a few times through and i've decided i like disc 2 better than disc one. I dont like many of the songs on disc one, and on disc 2 i am feeling more than half of the cd. I wouldn't call this album a classic but it has some really good music. "Virgo" is dope...- Vice

Yeah, they couldn't really do much, there was a mob of like 1000+ people....on the video the cops were yellin out there superiors phone number, but when they called they ignored it. Movie Sample For Song Intro
i actually did use braveheart just to see what it sounded like and it fit, but the fact that it is so well known stopped me from wanting to use it......i just said that name cause thats the closest thing i could find to what i was looking for. I probably wont use a sample after all, but thanks...
