It could sound quiet because you're compressing it - a very real possibility depending on how you're compressing it

OMG - so, I came to my computer to listen to music whilst responding. Anyway, just finished typing the above and was like 'ou what's this playing, gonna go add it to my saved on Spotify'
So, I go to spotify, see I haven't liked the track yet, so i hit like/save ... i then come back here, pause, and realise... wait, I was actually playing your beat in another tab and completely forgot!!! Told you I'd totally add that beat if it was on spotify!!! (had to go unlike the beat i accidentally added, there was a reason i paused it lol)

But yeah could be an issue with how you're compressing it, could be low freq build up is triggering your comp and pulling everything down/choking the mix.

Feel free to send me the mastered, and unmastered version (so I can listen to my hearts content) and I could try master it, and if i get results you were seeking let you know how I got there, and if I can't get there, maybe I might have insight as to why (i might also not have the insight)

I think first time round there was something i didn't like, i think R2/R3 I was like 'what didn't i like?'.

I think maybe there was a thin freq somewhere (maybe not). Love the kick, love the compositional work (was any of this 'stolen' type ish - or all just your own doing).

It's a bit mono some of the elements, ---buttt--- I think it sounds absolutely fine like that, proably makes it work, keeps a solidness to it I like. Maybe... MAYBEEE a little more front-to-back depth could have made this record sound absolutely massive. But, it doesn't need it, it's a solid work, want that 50 Cent vocal on it now tho.

it's 4 kicks stacked. there's bout 3 dBs of my pretty white lady, boostin/attenuating bout 6 dBs below 60's with pultec, and then MAD saturation (sumn like 12 - 17 dbs).

not that I wouldn't be down, but I've officially given up on trying to collab with you until you actually send some shit to me. any collab we have is basically me remixing ur already-made or half-made stuff.

yeah I'm still a pussy when it comes to stereoizing my shit. I give it width and I'm like "wait, are we too thin now?" and I panic n revert it lmfao. and I 100% get u on the front-to-back shit. I love front-to-back. it should be common knowledge. but like that'd take actual time & energy n I'm not putting that in until I've got vocals, yk?
