Well a midi adapter would do nothing at all to solve this problem. So I would not recommend that.

That keyboard has a USB port on it. You don't need to use a MIDI adapter at all. Just get a decent audio interface and you are good to go.
What model of keyboard do you have?

I prefer focusrite and you will spend at least $200. Your latenecy should be under 10ms and you should be able to play anything you want live....
Man I would not buy the other stuff and spend more then $60 on an audio interface. That's literally the heart of your studio.
