    Apple Visio Pro.

I figured this thing deserved its own thread. I know there is some Apple hate around here and I think you know I disagree with most of it, but let’s set that aside. This thing is INCREDIBLE. I think people are not understanding what this product is. It is NOT a VR headset. It is what Apple whats...

Moog made a synth for the Vision Pro. WOW

Check it out https://www.moogmusic.com/products/animoog-galaxy if Apple can pull off this Vision Pro thing they will own the future of computers. For a v1 product it’s quite remarkable. Imagine the music you could make with a computer like the Vision Pro? crazy!

You guys are sleeping on Koala sampler.

I mean just look at this thing, you can make it look however you want. That’s literally a track I’m working in. And being able to multi touch samples is amazing. I have a usb c dock for my Mac and my iPad hooked right up and my focusrite interface and my drum pad and keyboard worked straight...

I think I’m gonna ditch my mpc 2500 for Koala

Why do you think I wouldn’t have proper monitors or a quiet environment? The thing literally hooks right up to my focusrite audio interface and just works. It’s just nice that I also CAN use it anywhere. I’m getting on a flight to NYC in an hour and you know I’m making beats on the flight.

I think I’m gonna ditch my mpc 2500 for Koala

Yes, it sure is. I can’t find anything an mpc 2500 can do that Koala can’t. Its super easy to use. And with how the program is built I get basically the knobs and faders right on a touch screen. So it’s pretty slick. I recreated my last few mpc beats In Koala and it’s so easy to use. And I can...

I think I’m gonna ditch my mpc 2500 for Koala

Well with the iPad touch interface I get the hardware control feel but I get all the benefits of software. And I can stay focused still since it’s not a computer. It doesn’t feel like a downgrade.

I think I’m gonna ditch my mpc 2500 for Koala

I have always had a love/hate for mpc’s and Reason has always been my main rig but I have fun playing with hardware. I built a workspace for a no computer workflow with an mpc 2500, elecktron RYTM, KORG Prologue, a Roland space echo and a real Rhodes. But it’s sooo slow. I have been playing with...

Im ditching most of my hardware.

Dude take a look at launch control https://novationmusic.com/en/launch/launch-control-xl if it had not been out for years I would have assumed it was made for the RX1200. I own one and it's so close to feeling like a real SP without all the annoying pain in the ass stuff.

Left output is super quiet on my mpc2500

I had my friend who is a soldering wizard remove the old jack and replace it with a new one I ordered on eBay for $10. I bought him a case of beer for his trouble and I did all the work of tearing in to it. So it cost me like $30 and some time to fix. Still annoying though.

and I had a lot see https://www.illmuzik.com/threads/my-and-or-the-drunk-pedestrians-studio-tour-full-gear-list-tons-of-photos.41283/ After my MPC left output just stopped working https://www.illmuzik.com/threads/left-output-is-super-quiet-on-my-mpc2500.42954/ (and I got it fixed on the cheap)...

Who here is using NI Maschine?

I feel that. I just dont like the jack of all trades master of none stuff some of these software companies do. Just focus on doing a few things really really well you know?

Who here is using NI Maschine?

The latest update 2.15 is just over a year old. So it's still pretty actively being developed and I am kinda sick of mandatory version updates that everyone seems to need to do. I like that NI is slow and steady with this thing I still have my MK3 and I like it, I think it works great, I think...

    Mixing rates?

Yes $3-500 per song. It just really depended on a lot of things. Honestly hip hop mixes are simply much less complicated than a band because I don’t have to mix a drum kit mainly. One of the last records I did a lot of mixing on was this one and I didn’t even do the whole thing and I gave...

    Mixing rates?

A lot of hip hop for sure. Tons of rock, which is usually more complicated to mix. And compared to pro mixers those are CHEAP rates a proper mix should take about 8-12 hours per song if you are really doing it right. It’s actually very detailed work. Then there is mastering after. My buddy is a...

    Mixing rates?

I dont do that much of that work anymore but I was charging 3-500 for a proper mix and I wasn't hurting for business.
