If sensitivity/velocity is a big deal to you while laying down your drums, I wouldn't suggest the MPD16. Also, if you're using WinXP and don't have MIDI capabilities, I would again suggest avoiding the MPD16, as the USB connection is notorious for crashing WinXP at random. Just my two cents. The... -

Yeah, I'm just gonna echo what they're saying. Make sure that the loop is flawlessly looping on time in your audio editor before you start slicing it in Recycle. -

Host makes a good point, although I assumed you were referring specifically towards DRUM sample CDs/Kits. If you're wanting to buy Sample CDs that have instrument loops, etc etc you'll find that it's a lot more fun for most producers to search out their own melodic samples. Unless, like he said... -
