@Erik that first part nasty as hell, I can't complain about that track at all
@tomkillsjerry I think you're one of the few people who've mastered the art of manipulating 808 soundwaves
@111_H_111 you have to give feedback in order to get it

been a while since I've added acapellas to anything, but it's whatever I guess

@Erik : Nice sample and drums. Also like the strings and the stuttering chops at 1:17

@tomkillsjerry : I like how the the sequencer and 808s kind of glue everything together. Very well thought out. (I see you just posted another one, what I posted was in reference to the first one).

@111_H_111 : Nice song. Whether the vocals are sampled or were recorded, it sounds good with the instrumentation.

@S3oulC1ty : I like watch you did with the original source material. The way you chopped it reminded me of Kanye circa 2004, no disrespect because it was unique too, your own style and everything. Good job

Here is mine
Nothing here yet.

@Erik I like the beat. Wasn't expecting all those samples to continuously change the beat. It's like an album intro.
@tomkillsjerry that beat is hot. Loving that audio quality. Wish I can get to that point someday.
@111_H_111 That beat has a great hook that fits the song.
@S3oulC1ty I need to study your basswork cause it brings extra soul to the beat. And that sample flip is amazing.
@Chad I like the instrumentation of the beat a lot, though I think it might sound better with better synths and sample library (string and choir). When the beat drops the volume ducks rather sharply and then is slightly erratic throughout the song. I think a better mix could help this shine, though I'm terrible at it so what do I know.

Okay, two beats I was working on tonight.

Rule. 1 post feedback first.
the more feedback you give the more you get.

I know how some new mfs feel when they find this site. "Oh lemme post my fire 4th beat ever as my first post!!"
Don't do it. i promise its not fire. give feedback to get it. even if your new and your thinking "i dont even know how to high pass my low pass compressor because my sampletank ran out of reverb"
just say beats dope, or no so much.

@arta one thing that would really help out your productions is stronger rhythm arrangements. like your melodies are great the drums sound decent but theres nothing driving it forward.
listen to the mid bass on this one. the whole beat rides this bassline.

@Chad gotta get that 808 under control. are you setting it to cut its self?

Specifically what do you mean? Making the bassline more interesting to make it stand out more? I need to learn more about arrangements. Right now I just drop out instruments in the verse to distinguish it from the chorus.

And I know that Successor beat has a weird bridge between the chorus and verse, still figuring it out.

And how's the mix? I can never figure how to make them band without muddling the mix.

@arta
its not the bassline specifically its the more a lack of a steady rhythm section which is bass/lowbrass and keys/guitar/synth/strings playing a progression of chords through a key.
arrangement gets easier as you get your workflow down. something i recommend (if your not already doing this) Is build your chorus first everything falls into place after that.
mixes sound fine. every part has its place in the frequency spectrum. I usually set a High Pass filter to 100-150hz on everything but the sub mid bass and kick. ill also have two basses one for subs one for mid-bass.

@Erik - those drums are amazing! Nice chops too.
@S3oulC1ty - great beat. Everything about it great. Straight up, wish it was just the beat tho.
@arta - horns on the second beat are sick.
@trumenBeats - sounds good. Vocal chops are dope, reverb on it is nice.

@BamAGod : Nice sample chops and the drums fit nicely with it. Good job

@tumenBeats : I like the sample choice and how you chopped and looped it. The beat sounds like it was mixed a little low and I thought you could add more percussion like hi hats, triangles, or cymbals

@tomkillsjerry : Yeah, I had it to cut itself but I also had slide enabled in FL Studio, which was probably part of the problem.

I changed the mix on the 808 and the overall mix a little bit. Tell me what you think:
