song format or clips????

When shopping beats should you out the beats in song format (intro,verse,chorus etc.) or should you just do 1 min clips. I heard two things:
1. Artist like to hear the beats in song format so they can get a feel for the beat
2. Song formats are no good cause there easy to steal
I just got into shopping beats and dont want to get taken.

30-45 second is all you need on a beat Cd, if they wanna right to it then come by the house.
The song is not in song format until together we make it that way anyway.

Nice, that makes since. How many should i put on a cd, cause i dont want to drown em i want them to want more.
