i know everybody's seen this video... can anybody tell me how he created that effect? the muffled sound. he said it was the same sample he was working with, just muted. i'm working with a sample that i want to do the same thing to. thanx.

I use FL studio and the easiest way to achieve that effect, (it also works in reverse too), is to run that channel to a track in the mixer and then add parametric eq to that track. Turn down all of the highs and midrange and then tweak the low end to your tastes. It's not that difficult even if you are using something different. I used to do the same thing when I was using the ASR-10. It is just done differently with that keyboard. Peace!
