Aight so I've always had an issue with getting my 808s to hit hard while working in the 70-90hz freq. i've tried to go higher without getting muddy but its still sounds like crap. can someone help me out?

Homie....I always layer a more punchy thumping kick under my 808's. I've found no other way to make them hit harder. It works for me. Find that kick that cuts through, layer it in and lower the volume on it.

Exactly....808s have to be layered with a sharper kick under it to get that bump.....

Same here. My 808's just don't move very much in 70-90 range on the analyzer so I will end up layering it with another kick to give it more thump.

What everyone else said. ALSO, I add a third kick to the layer in the 1-4k range to add a lil pop. This extends the range, and when you glue em all together with a good compressor, shit is nasty.
