U can do alot more with alot less,

One of the best producers on here (afrique delux) just has a MIDI keyboard and reason,
Another top producer on here, producer_gyal (the winner of the battle that competition) just uses FL studio.

What im sayin is that the equiment dosent really matter, if u have a sequncer(hardware or software) ,a way to chop samples(or play the keys) and a way to record ur good to go.

They key is to know how to use what u have.....

That equiment he was talkin about was professinal engineers, its cool and i would love to have it someday. but i think for now u would be straight with FL, a MIDI controller and a decent pair of speakers

Hey Classic is right...but I been in my share of real studio set ups...he got a nice setup...he is using the outboard gear for warmth etc then going into his computer so he is capturing all of that nice sound..you cannot capture that with strictly digital plugins....alse he's using Tapes & Tube amps...that's kind of sound that helps make vinyl sound like it did back in tha day...I would ask for an example of his work....see if you like it...if you just an MC that is looking to record a demo...anyone can do that, like Classic said you can do more for less...but...if this cat masters....you gonna be hard pressed to duplicate that kind of sound on just a modest home system....but he got tha real deal setup there....are you just concerned about making beats sound good?
