I'm having a really odd issue with my midi sync...

It seems to be fine in most other projects I have open, but in my last project, no matter what settings I change, the midi is like half a second slow at responding.

I have no clue what's doing it.

I've tried to see if it's just the instrument/vst/channel/etc but it's not, it was working on time the night before, up until one point when I pressed a key and the playback was delayed.

Has anyone had any similar issues or have any idea as to what could be the problem?

Can't finish the project with this gay ass latency ):

If your having plugin latency problems check the general tab in your audio preferences to see what your compensation is set to.

If your having general latency issues all over I would check the buffer size you have set for the soundcard/interface your using. I think by default its set to 512, you might want to try and reduce that amount a small bit and see if you notice a difference.

Thanks for the responses guys, I meant in SONAR 8 ...not logic. /shame.

It's only the LP64 Multiband compressor that does it... but there are a few of my favoured plug-ins that have no interface when they're loaded up, which is also an issue.

I'm using an M-Audio audiophile 2496, and Carillon Control49 midi keyboard.

And vista /disapointment.

Thanks for the help.

Well you did say "it's the LP64 Multi band compressor in Logic 8+"

So that made us think it was Logic, update your drivers for the Maudio and in device setup in Sonar make sure you are using Maudio ASIO drivers Third that plugin should not be used live anyway.
