Whats the difference between Drum Machine and Drum Sampler?

A drum machine comes with stock sounds in it, a sampler operates much like a drum machine but you can load your own sounds into it..Get the sampler..lol

well some drum machines are actually synthesizers. You cant really get the sound of a tweakable LFO from a sampler. You really need a good combo of both. Ultrabeat in logic is a cool hybrid of both.

drum maCHINE: it only has stock percussion sounds some u can load more soung and then link them thru midi

sampler: the sky is the limits depending on how big your hard drive is or if u store them in zip's
u can load up anything in a sampler

I would love to, but i just dont have those funds or skills right now. I want to buy equipment i can learn easier and then save up for the better shit when i have better knowledge.

Funds I understand but you dont need somthing simpler to start with.
whatever you start with will be confusing at first, why not just master what your gonna use?
Its gonna take time no matter what..

Im sorry but thats not possible on a drum machine, all sounds are stock.. Only on a sampler, say an mpc, is this possible.
