Whattup Illmuzik family?
I've been away from the site for over a month but I'm back again in full effect and am here to stay.
I thought now might be a good time for everyone who's interested to post an update on how things are going with their music and let us know what projects you are working on etc. I did this a while ago, and it's really interesting to hear the happenings of fellow beat makers.
Foe me, my main focus lately, has been getting my new music setup up and running, which I've finally done. I now have a beast of a music PC, with a good soundcard, studio monitors, a MPD-16 and a few other bits and pieces with makes my new setup a million times better than what I previously had.
I have a couple of MCs and 1 singer interested in my beats which is cool. This should develop even more know that I have my new setup cranking. Also, some friends of mine have just finished making their album as well which I'm very excited about.
While all this was going on I've also been re-assessing my goals and have been focusing on improving health as which is very important to me.
I've also become a fan of hip-hop again and have been listening to heaps of new cds, and really enjoying them. For a while there, I had lost some of the fun and enjoyment for this music that we love, but I have now regained all my good feelings about hip-hop. Suprisingly, a big part of this was due to a most unlikely album - "The Diplomats - Diplomatic Immunity". I stumbled across this and I really enjoyed it; the beats are dope enough and although the rappers in the group aren't very lyrical, they still made a mad entertaining album. I got to love Dip Set for that (no homo).
Anyway y'all, I'd love to hear what everyone has been up to and what you're working on etc., so post some replies and let me know what's really good.
