Got to a store, check some out, then decide the best ones you can afford based on your budget. If holding out a few more months allowing you to stack more money would get you better, then do that. It all depends on your cash flow....u have to crawl before you can walk.
I personally started out with regular ole Cerwin Vega home stereo speakers...went to a $200 pair of monitor headphones from there to my first pair of Alesis One studio monitors....been thru a few since then but I have more money to play around with now so I can afford "really good" but not the best. Doubt if I'll ever get the "best", too many other things I'd get before that.
