Hey Illmuzik fam,

Remember the time when you felt like you were stuck in a "Producers Block" rut and you couldn't find inspiration to save your life?

And then, BAAAAM!!!! OUT of no where you were inspired to make one of your hottest beats ever. After that block you made a flood of great music??

Do you remember a time like that??

When I realised I should be making music for myself, not music that I think other people would like. Now I make music I enjoy and if others like it then its a bonus. My stuff really did change from that point on.

I can't think of a big break through for getting over the block as when i do feel like i can't get a flow together i just listen to some classic underground g-funk tracks then enter into the remake stage which always helps clear my mind.

Got the love that G-Funk Era, it's a shame that it all died out though. The only people still producing it of the quality that it once was are from japan of all places.

I don't really focus to much on the latest releases past 98' other than the odd few as i'm an underground collector of the old mid 90's westcoast, so that keeps me going for having alot of unknown classics to listen to thanks to ebay even though some of the albums are $!00+.

I'll save the link for the 1st of the month though as i'm locked on a download limit which i've about maxed out.

Doing music with MC Huggs from MC Huggs and the Groovecrust, meeting Glenn Schick ( one of the best sound engineers on the planet IMO ) in his studio. I also got to meet and chill with Pete Rock, Guru and Red Alert while at WBLS in NY. Definately a highlite in this music ish.

Meeting the guys at the Hit Factory and taking the tour. No BIG DEAL but a lot of cats dream of making in that stutio. It was pretty cool seeing their gear and acoustical enviroments. Very inspirational, kinda like leaving a kung-fu movie thinking you can actually do that ish you just saw....lol
