I found a pretty decent loop, the only problem is that it has a ton of instruments in it.

I've been messing around with it but I don't think I can compose a song with it as it will probably sound to repetative. All I've added was bass drum and a rim hit to it so far.

Has anyone ever made a beat out of a loop that has drums, bass, and guitar in it?

I guess I can post it if you want to hear it.

If it has drums in it. Try and cut the sample on the kicks and the snares, that way you can just overdrum it with your own drums and you have a lot more control over the way the song goes..

Chop the loop, and then place it over your drums, and pitch it till the hihats are playing straight ( if there is any hihats in the sample ).. You could also get the lows out of the guitar sample and make a new sample from that, that way u can vary the bass from the sample and make a more varied song..

Hope this helps, if you got any questions.. Just holla!
