Do know about, Rza.

I find it interesting that I never ever even heard a hint of what Timberland use, anybody know?

Timbo uses a combination, one of the reasons I even went and copped fruity loops a few years ago because he was using the grid to do some of his tracks and create patterns he resampled into the MPC....and I saw a picture of the setup and there was an sp1200 in the background too along with a triton not sure what out of that assortment that got use on beats.....also don't sleep on the sp1200 a lot of producers use it until this day because peeps like prince paul like that sound along with a rack of other Platinum producers I went to a panel less about a year and half ago......and I won't go into all of who attended 5 out of the 7 producers mentioned it as the centerpiece of a lot of production and they also could have mention the mpc4k which 2 of them were using too, have you done a sequence on an sp1200 or worked with one more than a few weeks to see what it can do? its an old piece but all of the software like fruity loops emulate this piece as far pattern to song creation, pitch, truncate..... the only thing it cannot duplicate is the sound....I resampled the entire 808 kit from fruityloops to the SP and I am still amazed at what it does to a sample like a kick that sounds ok coming out of the computer but then you trigger that same sample from the SP I don't know what else to say......I had an s950 which was supposed to be equivalent to the mpc60 and it still didn't put the same bottom into a normal or flimsy sounding Kick or Bass.

P.S.also just blaze was posting at hiphopmusic.com for a while under the name Jb after his interview. http://www.hiphopmusic.com/archives/000245.html

yea alota people use the triton serries, as well as the trinity.

mpc 3000 is a real popular peice as well. dj shadow uses a mpc60II, basicly the same as a mpc3000. kanye uses a mpc as well.

i know the rza used to use a asr-10 and mpc2000xl... that was about 6 or 7 years ago so iim not sure if he is still working with that.

i read what the alchemest uses a while back but i forgot......ha ha.

Madlib uses a Dr Sample. ( roland Sp 202 ) for sampling, I don't know if he uses it for his beat making tho, I'm sure it would be hella akward.
