What has been and/or is your experience(s) with DRM for plugins? Almost every plugin company has an installer e.g. Waves has Waves Central, Izotope has Izotope Product Portal, etc.

i had this with rc20 from XLN bought the plugin then the stupid installer wouldnt verify that i had payed, had to contact their customer service which was its own experience. Still rly good plugin use it on everything but yeah the drm sucks obviously.... this is why i love Cableguys they just give you the vst atleast for halftime, and their trial is really generous. Its the same for videogames too though, im and avid gamer and have like 4 or 5 different clients that i have the games on: Steam, GOG, Epic Store ORIGIN etc.. and dont even get me started on watching anime "legally" you legit need a website to figure out which company (streming service) holds which license for the show you want to watch... its just an unfortunate reality of the digital age... a bunch of stuck up, greedy suits trying to shaft the consumer at every oppertunity

It's the reason why I tend to stick to old or free plugins. For the past 2 decades, DRM on anything (music, software, movies) showed us that pirates enjoy unrestricted cracked versions, while actual customers are treated like criminals.
