I just got an M-Audio Oxygen8v2 MIDI controller, which is awesome. Very intuitive. Everything works as it expected except for the transport (Play, Forward, Stop, Record etc) buttons. They don't seem to control their software counterparts, and there doesn't seem to be a way to link one of those buttons to the hardware controller. Is there any setting I should play around with?
Also, it seems that if I want to use the transport buttons to act as switches, like assign a channel's mute on/off control to a transport button, it can only be done with the Preset on 7 which I believe is for Reason by default. Any ideas on why this is the only preset that seems to do that? (Using the same method on Preset 1 will just switch the channel on if it's off, but not toggle between on and off.)
Edit: I found a tutorial on how to assign the transport controls to their software counterparts for the M-Audio Axiom 25, so hopefully the same thing will happen with the Oxygen, however because there are no buttons on the Oxygen, I wonder if I should rather use those transport controls as assignable switches, rather than for playing or stopping a track, which I can easily do with the spacebar.
