Phynal
MPC Misfit | Music Maker
Hey IllMuzik fam! Phynal here!
So, I was deep in the YouTube rabbit hole, searching for MPC tips and tricks, and I landed on IllMuzik's channel.
Then I started digging through the site, reading a ton of introduction posts to get a feel for the vibe and make sure I covered all the bases in my own intro.
Been messing around with music as a hobby for about ten years now. Music was always calling to me, but I was way too nervous to rap, or sing and couldn't seem to get the hang of any traditional instrument.
Then, the MPC 2500! This thing became my voice. I could speak with my hands, not my mouth, and started doing live shows. I still struggle with music theory, and I'm currently trying to learn the piano – it's a journey!
In 2021 when I moved from MA to AZ I lost all my music. But, 2025 is a fresh start! I'm back in the game, building my home studio and just having fun making music. Freestyle drumming on the MPC 2500 is my favorite thing to do. It’s my workhorse, but I want to focus on making full beats more with it.
I'm passionate about sharing my creative journey and connecting with fellow sound enthusiasts. I'm really looking forward to making some awesome connections here. I'm also eager to get advice and feedback on my music, and I hope to return the favor to others as well. I'm truly grateful to have found this community!
