When I was a kid I thought awards shows were cool but not now. It's all fixed results probably, and even if they're not - the winner is usually whoever sold the most or is the most popular. It's definitely not for who's the better singer or musician because if that was the case you wouldn't see 95% of the 'artists' nominated!

i wouldnt say its necessarily the most popular or the most record sales.....in 2003 50 cent sold the most records, and i dont even think that was just in hip hop...im pretty sure he sold the most records out of any artist that year.....yet at the grammy's Evanesence won best new artist....i got no problem, cuz i htink Evanescence is hot, but i kinda think 50 was robbed, cuz he really did deserve it.....dude was everywhere!!!! TV, Radio, Magazines, almost every mixtape etc...its was his year
