I like the beat: cool drums and soulful sample. The vocals are a bit too squashed in the mix IMO.

Yeah I agree I have a fear of having overpowered vocals so i try to play it safe
Not huge on the vocals, personally. They're a little distorted, and the rhyme pattern is all over the place and it makes it tough to get into for me. Comes off a lot more like poetry than rap from a rhythm stand point. The beat though, I really like. Such a good vibe. I will say, the changeup that comes in about 26 seconds in gets a little messy. I wanna say its the vocals clashing with it, but for what its worth its definitely a nice addition to the beat overall, just needs some tweaking.
