wow

i knew lil wayne was unoriginal but i had no idea he was straight up jacking everyone's shit

i've heard people say that creativity is learning to hide your influences

no matter how you look at it he is creatively bankrupt(the same can't be said about his bank account)

he may have paid, hopin his reputation would not get found. if you pay 300k and make 2mill it's a safe game as long as the reputation is not stuck.

we'll find this out in 2008. though he may try to pay retributions so we never know. chess

I saw this in another forum.

I was shocked. But there is always 2 sides to a story.

I guess a lot of that music you are hearing are from mix tapes. And the tapes have themes, like mash-ups. Where he is covering another artist's song. Or maybe the mix tape has an RnB flavor so he is rapping their lyrics instead of singing them. I guess if you were to listen to his released albums you wont hear him ripping off lyrics.

This was an argument made by a Lil Wayne fan.

Yea, but I still dont think its right to do that and claim you are the Greatest Mc alive. It doesnt make sense.

I agree.

Wayne is far from the greatest. The fact that he put out like 74 songs last year and I only know one of them is a testament to that.nI was just being objective. I read this article in Sports illustrated about facts and Stats. Something about Jordan. If I can remember it went something like:

"Jordan was only held to less than 10 points twice in his career."

So you think, wow, what two teams were able to shutdown Jordan?

Well the TRUTH was he wasn't shutdown. The problem was, the Bulls were absolutely killing the other team so bad that Jordan just sat out the game after playing in the first quarter. So sometimes stats and fact can be misleading. The Lil Wayne swagger jacker thing is making a claim that he is blatantly stealing lyrics like he was claiming them for his own when he really is just filling up mix tapes.

Personally... I'm not a Wayne fan. Just making a point that things aren't what they seem sometimes.

Agreed, what you said about the majority of the tracks being used on mixtapes and such makes sense.

Personally I have never liked listening to him. He has one song I dont mind because hes on it with Kanye.

non the less using lyrics from other artists have been done before. Snoop was a big one. He jacked all kinds of Slick Ricks stuff. Half of snoops old songs are basically ripped from Slicks complete verse.

Example:
Lodi Dodi
