here is a term that gets a ton of use these days...

so, what exactly defines this and what does it take to get it, according to that definition? is it a positive thing and does it produce positive or negative results within hip hop and its surrounding elements? (basketball being among them.)

i know what this is and means to me, so this isnt being asked out of ignorance, but we all have different views and i wanted to see what you guys thought about it. i just keep hearing it come up all the time. :shoot: :cuss: :bash: :dj: :ninja:

Seriously, I don't really use the term often but isn't it just about being real to yourself and e.g. not rapping about being a ghetto thug if your a rich kid etc...being true to your roots and not lying about you upbringing and also having paid your dues...
