Ive never used soundforge or cool edit and i got a couple questions about them....

If i only had a manual it would be much easier, so if theres any site online that has them without paying, let me know

On cool edit it wont let me use any songs because i think i have to have them in wave, but my computer fucks up when i turn songs into wave, so is there any way i can use them without doing that

I have sound forge and the songs work on that, but i cant seem to figure out how to put multiple songs on the screen so i can take samples from each of them and cut and have them play together
I know how to do this on Cool Edit but as i said before I cant get songs to work

I might just be really stupid, but im new to this, so help would be appreciated if you could

You can download all the manuals for the Sonic Foundry (Now Sony) products here, which includes Soundforge:

It sounds to me like your trying to use Soundforge as a multitrack sequencer record which it isn't, it's a 2 channel stereo audio editor, but you can have multiple samples, songs whatever on the screen, and play them individually but not together (unless someone else knows more about its features than me). Cool Edit is a good program, if I were you I would make friends with someone else who uses it, and get those problems resolved, because that's going to give you more of what your referring to, including playing wav files, which is a no-brainer in most cases.

in soundforge, if you use file/open, you can open multipul songs and copy from them to a file where you would paste and compile them.

i use sound forge because it is easy to use and very versatile.
