sound module 16 channel midi?

Hey guys how would I go about setting up sounds 0n 16 channels to record in my mpc1k on diffrent tracks from my jv-1010. When I record to track 2 on the mpc, the jv changes the sound on the first track. Does anybody have some info on this? Thanks.... Hope this thread is shorter than the first one I posted....

im not really sure but i think it has some thing to do with switching from the drum setting to the midi (found on the bottom lefthand side) and then selecting the correct # for the trk or channel your trying to sequence. so it would look like midi 1a for trk 1, drum 10a for internal sounds. you'll have to experiment but i think thats where your solution will be found.

What u need to do is make sure you are in multi mode so u can use more than one sound. Im pretty sure u have your tracks in the MPC set up its jus the JV thats the issue cauze if im not mistaken an MPC will not record anythin from MIDI if its not set to MIDI in da sequencer window(tracks). So u have dat part right. Jus check the MODE your JV is in.

Thanks for the info, but I already figured out that I had to have my jv on performance mode. So yeah you were right, I had to have it on multi mode.
