I'm looking at getting a new sound card.

Initially, I wanted an Digidesign MBox2 and I've been doing my research and I'm currently looking at copping the M-Audio Audio Delta 1010.

I know for a fact that the M-Audio Audio Delta 1010 Works with Pro tools M-
Powered 7
, But I want to know if the PCI-outbreak unit (M-Audio Audio Delta 1010) also works with Pro Tools LE?

Last but not least, do any of you have any suggestions for good sound cards for producing and vocal recording (as close to professional as possible, with the home studio budget).

I am looking to spend no more than $500 USD, but all suggestions are appreciated.

Note:
I know all about the M-Audio Audiophile 192... But I am looking for more than 2 ins and outs.. However if you have good personal experience with this piece, let me know!

Nova.

well ya the 1010 and the 1010lt will work, but if you are going to buy the interface and m-powered you will be over budget.

Well... If it works with LE, i won't need to waste the money on M-Powered.

u can get rme fireface 400, record tracks to your favourite daw, then get a cheap m-audio card, import your recorded tracks to pro tools m-powered (via rewire or simply by exporting single waves) for mixing and use fireface 400 as a standalone 8 channel ad da converter for your m-audio card. thats just a lil suggestion if u wanna use rme and pro tools.

Logic is a no go, im on windows.

Nuendo.. been there done that, didn't really wow me like I was led to believe. I used it for about a year and just went back to fl (this was Longgg ago), it was very very similar to cubase SX at the time, just had more multimedia capabilities, like [more] video editing shit.

I'm really lookin for a good card i can use protools with, Thanks for all the feedback ya'll, imma look at the RME stuff.

thats sounding a lil out of my price range, seems dope as fuck tho i'mma keep researchin

With the support of M Powered, is the Delta 1010 a good choice, its seeming like a beast for the price.

And i need those ins and outs, 2 will def not do it.

That's true. But according to tweakheadz, PCI is definately faster, period. Which will come in handy recording multiple things, and its in a breakout box which takes it away from the noise inside the computer. I really like that, and the Ins and Outs are all balanced right?

I'mma take a look at the 1010lt right now
