Well nowadays money will get you everywhere in this biz....we scrape and hope but most of the major labels will even sign you to some kind of deal with upfront money...30-100K...a lot of people ain't know that did ya?????? anyhow think about a lot of the wack acts out.....a lot of times behind the scenes money has made it happen for them....but theres a lot of smoke and mirrors in the music industry right now so......the cornerstones are money and connections don't let anyone tell you any different.....but look back at the run Rawkus Records had back in the day.......a rich kid, money and a record label.....why do it the hard way....LOL

I think God blessed this guy's parents, then his mom blessed him. What he does with $30,000 determines his worth.
Being that well paid, he won't have any desire or drive... he isn't hungry... UNLESS he IS doing this for the love of music. If you have that much money and can still focus on the MUSIC, then damn... kid must have love.

Then again, if he heard a mobb deep album and asked "YO! How can I be down?", then copped this gear, this fool is going to be exploring already settled territory. How much you want to bet he has some "Symphonic" beats, "Murdurouz" beats, "R&B Liquid Velvet" beats, "Battle" beats, etc...

I Live In The Burbs And We Aint The Richest Family Out There.. But I Will Say This... Living In The Burbs Aint All Its Cracked Out To Be... I Went To A Private School And It Was Tough Fitting In...there Were A Lot Of Cliques... The Jocks, The Nerds, The Playboys, And The Outsiders... Guess Which One I Was Part Of... They Had A Uniform There... Khakis, Shirt, Tie, And Blazer... I Did My Best To Thug It Out... Wearing Hoodies With A Shirt And Tie Underneath... Tims.... Baggy Khakis... In Fact The Whole Process Of Hip Hop Making Me Came While I Was In High School... I Had A Lot Of Pent Up Energy... Private School Does That To You... Its Competition All Day... Questions U Need Answered Skipped Over Cause The Teacher Is Looking For Smart Kid "x"... And Raising Ur Hand To Get Passed Over... No Wonder I Didnt Get On Honor Roll Until Senior Year... Private School Did Give Me One Thing... A Wholesome Education... Many People I Come Across And Talk To Never Would Think I Have The Knowledge That I Do... I Just Feel That If It Was Anybody Else In My Position They Woulda Dropped Out... But I Stayed Persistent... I Stuck To My Strengths... English, Music, And Art...and On The Side When I Had Nothing Else To Do I Would Write Raps... Then One Day My Boy Who Was In The Philadelphia Public School System Getting All Thugged Out Gave Me This Cd With Fl 2, Goldwave, And Acid On It With A Shitload Of Samples On It... And We All Know What Happened From There....HIP HOP ALL DAY.....

THEN I WENT TO COLLEGE AND DROPPED OUT FOR LOVE OF THE MUSIC...

Sounds kinda "Vanilla Icey" to me, with the knife story and all. I won't hate on him though. I'll just wait and see what he brings to the table. Who knows? He might even be dope. I guess if he was a poor white kid he would have more credibility?..... Why is that? Let us not forget that Hip Hop breaks all barriers!

thing is, the kid is trying to make a selling point of the "harsh realities" of the filthy rich. he's not middle class; he's filthy rich.

it's just a bad angle. check this out; if am having some problems, i would rather have them WITH money.

because having no electricity, running water, or food..... doesnt compare to "not fitting in with the other rich kids"

fuck that, you know what, we used to be homeless. shopping cart status, and my mom and my siblings and i would literaly wait on a fuckin corner for some good hearted stranger to pick us up- which didnt always happen. i know what its like to live in homeless shelters and motels. my mother fuckin abandoned us in a hotel room on three different occasions.

and you know what? thats the tip of the iceberg; shit was real bad for me and my family growing up. and the fucke dup thing is that we werent even the lowest of the low. not even here, in america, there is much worse. then go to africa, or even mexico, go elsewhere and see how fucked up life is there. i consider myself fortunate- because as bad as i had it, in the long run i had oppurtunities to obtain a better life. other countries, they dont even get the chance. watch a fuckin "feed the children" episode, and see the 5 year old kids in africa dig through trash and tell me how hard this kids life is. matter of fact, go with classic the next time he goes there and see that shit in person.

dont make a selling point of this "hard life" when there are so many people who truly do live a real struggle every day of their lives.....

yeah, being a minority in the 'burbs can be tough....... its hard, i know shit aint always easy, but when the most yuo can complain about is "not fitting in", you should count your fucking blessings.

the burbs aint all its cracked up to be....

you know what, i'll take those problems with a full stomach and a roof ovver my head any day of the week, rather then living a life wondering where the fuck my familiy is getting their next meal, and where we are going to sleep for the night, because i have been on both sides, and there is no fuckin comparison.

fuck this kid. i wouldnt mind if he wasnt trying to play the poor little misunderstood rich boy who has it so bad, because "my dad made some money and it was all down hill" well good, life may suck but you have decent food in your mouth, nice clothes on your back and a roof to keep you from getting sick every night.

i cant wait to hear the "i would rather be poor and happy then rich and miserable" arguement... how many happy poor people do you know? how many starving kids say "well, at least my daddy dont try and buy my love!"? how many kids living in a station wagon in the back of the market say "at least i dont have to deal with the harsh realities of a private education!"?

please. its nothing wrong with being ritch, and everyone has struggles, it aint a pissing contest, but seriously, in hip hop, you are gonna drop some shit abuot how hard it is to be a rich kid? fuck that.

good post cold, everyone has fuckin difficulties in life whether however much fuckin money you have to your name at the end of the day theres always someone whos got it worse than you ! so for someone who is so fuckin fortunate to be in the position he is in is fuckin unbelievable and tbh its not the kinda of attitude i want to see in hip hop !
