Post your beats!
And please provide feedback.
@Marc Duncan That first beat is dope except for that high pitched vocal sample, I just don't feel that chipmunk sound. That synth sounds nice.
The second one is better imo. That sidechaining gives it a cool bounce to it and i like the pitch of the sample a lot better haha. Good stuff man
This is a remix i did of J Cole's Lights Please
Here is mine for the week I will provide feedback tonight rushing to work! For anyone after if you provide feedback I will return it.
@John Wallstreet nice remix dude!! followed u on SC.
here is what i did:
Just finished this one up an hour ago!!!
Smooth drum work bro!!!!! Amazing work!!!
@John Wallstreet not bad I just feel like it's missing something and should be filled a little more, it seems bare.
@Trisvie the sounds you used are ok it just the melody has no feeling to it and could use some more excitement.
@tumenBeats I love the groove that this beat has and the way it flows, nothing bad to say man. Great Work.
@EsquireMusic111 I like this one and I think it would make for a great song, and I like the drums and how they are not overdone.
Here is another remix I did last night
Hi there people, I'm a total newbie here looking for some fresh feedback.
Hey Matt D that was a great chill beat, snoop is always great for those. I like how you keep it updated but keeping the vintage element.
I like the beat a lot, the only thing that I'd recommend is to make sure that the beat doesn't over power the vocals but other than that good work.
Thanks for the comment, you are absolutely right, gotta check on my balance over the voice.
And just had a fancy of your beat, great stuff. Sounds perfect, maybe a wind instrument breakdown somewhere to bring some climax on top of the chill.
Feel free to check any of my other mixes and mashups on soundcloud. Trying to get an idea of the basic mistakes to avoid and recommendations to focus on before going with my own samples and beats.
@Mr.MasterMind Thank you for the feedback bro!! I think your beat is bumpin also but just like @O'neil said the beat seems to overpower the vocals but other than that it's a great beat. And I love the drums as well.
It's funny to see so many Remixes being posted as I also have one to share...
@Matt-D im really digging the j.cole beat and sample flip. I feel though the snare could have some more highs as theres frequencies missing overall. The Snoop one sounds much better imo but the melody could use more variations, still dope.
@Mr.MasterMind Oh yh I remember remixing this aswell I like the melody, very nice. Barry whites adrums also fitting, nice drumrolls. But whats annoying is that bass. Way to dominant.. shorter notes, less volume, less lowends... I would change something. Also that ATQC acapella is way off-beat. But i like the beat.
@O'neil SICK beat fam. That sample is fire and well flipped and those drums bang nicely. Gotta check your stuff out @sc! cya there
@Fro yo that beat is fresh but i dont like going more in depth as its your first post with no introduction or feedback to anybody in here...
Oh yh and here's my REMIX: not my typical type of music subgenre but the Acapella went well with the beat
@Matt-D Ayy, lights please remix bros lol. I'm digging it man, that sample flip goes so well with it. Could've turned it up a lil tho, i wanted some more sound in there. That snoop one is tight tho. Mix is better and it fits the beat even better as well. Very nice
@tumenBeats I appreciate it a lot man, thanks. Your shit's smooth af tho, everything's on point man, mix is clean. Dope stuff with that laid back vibe and bass rumbling underneath. Hit you back with a follow my dude keep it up
@EsquireMusic111 Not really my style melodically/sound design wise but it was pretty bumpin still. Best things is the drums and arrangement imo
@Mr.MasterMind As I understand these are others beats you mixed with these accapellas? so i'll comment on the mix. the vocal level should be higher basically. Your second one sounds a lot better, but vocals could still be a bit louder, and there is a particularly high pitched instrument that comes in which should probably be more in the background and maybe eq'd a bit to take some high end out
@O'neil Sounds like some throwback gritty 90's shit which is always welcome. its nice, needs some ny bars
@d.fusion This sounds great man. Not my typical style either but it just sounds about radio ready imo
Live Mobb Deep Beat Remake
@Marc Duncan Interesting vibe you have going on, didnt expect the sample and drum selection in the first one. I like the vibe of it. 2nd is cool too but i like the mix of the first better. Both Are slamn. I liked and subbed to your channel.
@John Wallstreet This is dope, i like the mix and thr sounds yo used. Lyrics and voice are very clean too.
@tumenBeats This was very good, love voiceand drum selection for this. What sample is that? Love the work you did on this. i subbed liked and commented on your channel.
@Marc Duncan haha that first beat fire bro
@John Wallstreet its nice. I just cant stand J. Cole. lol
@tumenBeats pretty dope RNB type vibe
@EsquireMusic111 like that Mustard bass the arrangement could use a little finessing
@Matt-D I feel that. sounds like a 9th beat
@Mr.MasterMind I feel it. its all there the vocal sometimes gets lost in the mix.
@O'neil thats heat right here bro.
@d.fusion this aint usually my style but Im digging this for some reason haha
@Johni Cleveland NICE! always like to see some one perform there joints dope stuff
Still experimenting with sounds
