Sampling Question

i just got an mpc and i'm not sure what to do with a sound once i've sampled it. for example: i sampled a one note horn intro off an old 45 i got. should i set it to the 16 levels and play the different notes from that or chop it and play the same note. or when you talk about pulling sounds off old records do you set them to 16 levels or how do you play them. if you can help me out it would be much appreciated cause i got about 1000 45's i picked up for $225. all 50's -70's jazz/r&b/soul/funk/disco. sorry about the length.

you can use 16 levels or autochromatic assign in the PROGRAM function.

above all, read the manual.

if you use autochromatic make sure you do that first . if you dont you will loose everything all samples on your pads.

or atleast be sure to save youre program its a pain the first time you do that.
