Yeah I mean technical wise like where to set the notes so that it comes off clean. I checked out the drumroll scores in FL and the drum rolls they have aren't great but I think I have an idea of how to make my own. I'll try it and let you guys know if I have any problems. Thanks.

Oh yeah, what kind of snare should I use to make the roll sound "clean"? A short and snappy one?

its always good to use sharp short snares... for the quick rolls that is....

like Smith said, randomize the velocity of each hit in the roll... put a tiny amount of shuffle on them, also... give it that real drummer feel.

layer the sound a lil bit, with like a couple snares, and have some of them off on some hits of the roll. and yea, shuffle.
