I'm switching from fl studio to reason and already feeling the level of control way more. But a problem I'm having with my drums is creating and equivalant to the "cut itself" function in fl studio on redrum. By the way I edit my drums on the sequencer, not the redrum rack if that matters.

ive tried fucking w/ the decay and shit, but that cuts all the notes. what i did in fl studio is have like a snare play for maybe 3 or 4 straight notes, with the first one at full velocity and the rest at like %15. that way the first note plays loud but is imediatly cut off by the next, but still gives a little echo sound for a couple more steps...maybe if there was a way i could add decay to just some of the notes on the sample. couldnt find anything like that in the manual. eh, guess its my own technique and ill have to find my own solution. thanks anyways

Velocity
well you have total controll over the velocity in the sequencer and in the redrum module, all you have to do is change the dynamic's on the redrum to hard, medium or soft to get the effect you want, or do it in the sequencer and adjust the velocity to any lvl you want, Hope this solves what your looking for!
