Reason???

Could somebody give me a kind of overview of Reason? I try to stay away from computers but its hard. And i hear everybody saying how easy and good Reason is, so help me out.

(i tried acid, f-loops, etc. but i prefer hardware)

well, in my humble opinion, reason 2.5 (bundled with recycle) is the only piece of software you'll ever need (once you master it).
you have two superb samplers, a drum machine, two synths and the OUTSTANDING dr. rex.
you also have lots of effects to choose from (many people find reason's effects poor, but let me tell you - they are not poor. one just has to learn how to use them correctly).
on top of everything, you have the complete control over your physical connections (just as if you were working with hardware).

bottom line..... for preproduction.... and makin use of your creativity..... in terms of value... nothin compares to reason and recycle... iwouldnt use reason for final mixdown... but its the sickest prepruduction software out there for the money... hands down.... only thing that s missin is vsts... but if u got cubase, sonar, pro tools(later version) u can rewire.. the n possibilities endless
