I was checking out some reason tutorials at letscreatemusic and towards the end the guy got into "backdrops". He had a nice MPC drop and vynl one I was digging too. I've searched online and found some decent ones, but I haven't found anything mentioned here. Do you guys not mess around with the backdrops? Don't want to share that perfect look?

I know, I know...it's about what you do with reason, not what it looks like. I just like the atmosphere to be perfect whether it's on screen or in the room.

I just use the template they give in photoshop and make my own it's not that hard. Just match colors and they will all look dope together.

On mine it's in the Template Documents/Combi Backdrops folders in the main reason folder.

I don't know what is deal is with these backdrops.
They do nothing to help made any beats.
What is the point of them,Just more junk to put
on my computer.

I just found out this feature in Reason about a month ago and now I got more rack designs than beats LOL.

It is kinda gimmicky but I like it. I got a bunch of designs mostly with girls asses on them. I hope I don't get in trouble for it. I will probably be uploading all my beats up to Reason's site and they will all have a custom rack design. I dunno. It's like having an Avatar.

I wish they let us design all the backdrops for each module. Then you could make your whole rack look the way you want it.

It's just nice to customize your workspace, especially when you have the photoshop skills to make nice designs and make a backdrop specific to the beat your making.

I sample a lot of horror, and I enjoy chopping up the movie covers and making slick backdrops with designs specific to the sample/beat I'm working on. It may be superficial to some, but if someone has the know how to do it I can't see why they wouldn't crank out a little customized backdrop in 5 minutes.
