umm, honestly really wasnt feeling that beat, I am so glad he used the beat he did, the beat he used on the album will be a classic forever!

Supposedly it was produced by J-Love who used to collab with Nas before Illmatic was released. I think J-Love recently released a compilation of his work with Nas. Others say it's a Preemo beat (which Premier decided to redo when he heard Pete Rock's contribution). Others say it's a Large Pro beat.
