Quiet S950

Hello all,
I've been reading this forum for a few months now and have learned a lot. Now I have a question of my own I can't find the answer to. I just got an Akai S950 and hooked it up to my Rane mixer. The mix out on the Akai goes to the aux in on the mixer, and the aux out on the mixer goes to the line in on the front of the sampler. I've experimented with different record levels and turned up my samples to +50 in edit sample, but even with the monitor level on the sampler and the aux in on the mixer all the way up the sample is still pretty quiet. Anyone have any ideas?

I don't have mine anymore, but don't you have to make sure you choose the main output routing on one of those pages? and you know the volume knob has that lil fader for L & R on it too make sure that your panning isn't off I had similiar problem b4, I would take a look at that too along with what fatz said.
