quick Pro Tools question re: upgrading software (is it free to upgrade?)

Hey family,

just a quick question, if i buy an Mbox / Pro Tools LE, will I be able to upgrade the Pro Tools software upgrades for free as they come out?

For instance, I've considered buying an Mbox / Pro Tools 6.4 on ebay, if I bought that can I then upgrade the Pro Tools software to the latest version 6.7 for free?

Hi Adam.

I bought the M-Box with 6.1, and upgraded to 6.4 for free, but have to pay for 6.7 (approx. U$D 100).
I don't know if that means you only get one upgrade for free, or if the 6.4 upgrade was a minor update to fix bugs and therefore free.
However, I know people who are working just fine with versions less than 6.1, as it is mainly the midi section etc that has been improved.

I had 5.31 for the longest....had 5.3...the upgrade was free.....but it costs 35 dollars to upgrade to 6.4 and you have to have the original Serial and have registered with digidesign........the mixer section above 5.3X......is 12db now.....it is a little better than 5.31 and it finds all of the wave files....
