Has anyone here ever taken a Pro Tools certification test? Just wandering I was thinkin about it myself.

Naw, but there are plenty of books which take you through everything in detail. You can check out Digidesign.com for classes though.

Certification tests?!? I thought it was SO well designed that any idiot could run it!!!

Seriously, you can get certified in Pro Tools, like someone could get certified in A+ or Cisco networks?

I dunno about that Im taking a class at school that teaches me how to edit on pro tools and a reel to reel though

Hey,

I asked a friend who went to recording school; at one time when PT was the only thing in town, big studios wanted to make sure that when they hired people to do editing on their systems, they had some sort of standardised certification as proof that they knew what they were doing. You can get all sorts of certifications: ones for users, ones for instructors, ones for Waves plugins, etc.

He's now an electrician at my school.
