Pro Tools LE and Didi001

Yo, what up....I am puttin' some major thought into buying a Digidesign Digi001 with the Pro ToolsLE software. The main thing i want to know is if anyone out there has it and considers it a good buy for 800 bucks. I plan to make beats and producing full songs with this. I mean obviously its got to be good, but is it worth the 800? Let me know, peace out.

I'm using ProTools along with the M-Box for recording vocals and mixing songs, which isn't that often though.
From that experience, I would not suggest that you use ProTools to produce...unless perhaps you only got hardware and want to assign each gear to a channel...just to mix it down.

Hardware and processors

You can use the protools Free, it does 8 tracks...the only thing is it will only work with certain sound cards and it will not work with protools hardware......its a workaround for those that can't afford the real full blown or LE
