Oxygen8 in CEP?

I just started using an Oxygen keyboard and fell in love with it. I was wondering if I could use those 8 controllers in CEP for adjusting volume, pan etc. Syntrillium is selling a midi controller on their homepage, so CEP should be able to handle midi data.
When changing to "Device Properties/Ext. Controller - it won´t let me put in my Oxygen. Does anybody have a clue if I can still set things up because that would be just nice...

Hey,

You cannot setup CEP to be controlled by an external controller unless it is the Red Rover, Mackie Control, Tascam 248 and 448, or the Event E-Z Bus. CEP has not been designed to receive CC messages from external devices like the Oxygen 8, so the developers had to write special code to recognize the controllers above which have their own special way of communicating information.

So, to answer your question, you CANNOT control CEP from the Oxygen 8.

Hey,

I doubt it anytime soon. Maybe in the future, hopefully they'll realise that there are a lot of people out there who have small controllers that transmit CC's and it would make the software more appealing.

Syntrillium tends to purposely be a bit behind in the 'bells and whistles' department, focusing more on stability and good algorithms, their head programmer is an extremely smart guy who loves acoustics and finding neat ways to manipulate sound.
