What up peeps, I'm new to Illmuzik, I am trying to come up in the music game and hopefully I connect with other producers here in IM. I also want to hookup with any producers from Houston, so if your out there hit me up. I will be moving to Htown in June, so get at me. I am building up my studio so I have not worked on any tracks. Here is my setup: PC/XP/512, EMU 0404 Soundcard, 17" Monitor, Sonar 6 Producer Edition, Reasons 3.0, Zero-G Outer Limits VSTI, EMU Proteus X and Mo Phatt VSTI's, Sound Library, Korg Kontrol Pad, BX5a Monitors, and a Behinger Mixer. I just purchased Sonar 6 so I still have to learn the program. My biggest issue so far has been sounds. I do not have a record collection, which I need to work on, but I am really into sounds and so far I have been purchasing soundset/loop downloads from various sites, some of them have hit me for $60.00 a piece. A few of them have tight sounds/loops, for the most part, I feel ripped off. Can anyone direct me on where I can actually get some good samples, like the ones the top producers in the industry use.
