my computer isnt working... ONCE AGAIN.....any suggestions?

well, here we go again, its Truth Told VS. The Computer From Hell.....

this think has broke down on me like 3 or 4 times in the three VERY short months i have had it. i am a little frustrated... so here is the latest incidant:

i got Warcraft 3 (stop laughing guys!) yesterday, and installed it and everything, but when the actual game started, the playing screen went all dark and i couldn change the option for bright to dark...... so i checked all my setttings, tried to check my video card settings, things like that, but.... nope. didnt work.

so i got into my bios mode and checked on a few things, changed a few settings.... also, my pc for some reason now shows it as a 1.15 and not a 1.53, so i checked a speed setting, like 100/100, 133/133, and 166/133 and switched it to 166/133..... and i saved it and exited, and.......... NOTHING.

just a blank screen. i reset it, turned everything COMPLETELY off, tried again, NOPE. NOT HAPPENING. this was last night and it still isnt working i have been checking and rechecking things, because thus far all i needed to do was check a particular setting or plug in and things worked fine, but now it will not come back on for some stupid reason.....

which is what it did when i installed my audio card, and then just came back on for whatever reason. any suggestions here guys?

U MIGHT HAVE TO LAY OFF THE PROGRAMS, iF YoURE USiNG THiS CoMPUTER FOR EVERYTHiNG, LiKE i AM...FRUiTYLOOPS, AOL, SOUNDFORGE, MUSICMATCH, WINMX, XAKEWALK, PHOTOSHOP...AND WHATEVER ELSE U MAY HAVE (iNCLUDING GAMES) YOUR COMP MAY BUG OUT IF THERES TOO MUCH ON iT, i HAD TO UNiNSTALL A FEW oF MY PROGRAMS TO CONSERVE MEMoRY AND MAKE SURE MY CoMPUTER WoULDNT CRASH AGAIN, iT WAS JUST A MATTER OF WHAT WAS MORE iNPORTANT, SO NOW iM DoWN TO THE BASiCS....BUT U ONLY HAD THE COMPUTER FOR A COUPLE MONTHS WOW MiNE JUST STARTED ACTIN UP EARLIER THIS YEAR BUT iVE HAD iT SiNCE THE END oF 1999.
IF U KNOW WHAT YOURE DOING U CAN GO TO START-RUN AND TYPE "MSCONFIG" AND TOOL AROUND.
IF ITS A GRAPHICS PROBLEM U MIGHT HAVE TO RESET YOUR ADAPTER.
ALSO U CAN KINDA SEND YOUR CMPUTER BACK iN TiME, TO SPEAK, TO A TiME WHERE YOUR COMPUTER WAS ACTiNG FiNE...GO TO START-PROGRAMS-ACCESSORiES AND OPEN MS-DOS, IN MS-DOS TYPE "SCANREG/RESTORE" OR JUST "SCANREG" THERE SOME DATES WILL COME BACK AND U CAN JUST PICK THE ONE IN WHICH YOU KNOW WAS A TiME WHERE YoUR COMP WASNT ACTIN UP, ANY OTHER PROBLEMS ID SAY TO CALL THE COMPANY.

but i cant even get the thing to come on! like, it comes on, the pc does, but the screen doesnt, and the light od the cd drive flashes long once, then 7 short ones.... any clue as to what that means?

I went to Computer school bro, so I may be able to help you,,,I think it is your hard drive...In fact, I'm, almost positive. So, when you turn it on, its just a blck screen,,do you hear anything from the tower?

yo are those prohrams your using clean?...i know when ii used to rock a pc .....my shit did that.. i had my brother take out my drive and look at it and there was some kindof worm or virus in it that made the harddrive inaccesible.. and the first thing the comp checks for when it starts up is an active drive.. so if your shit is shut down.. then nothing will happen.. my bro was able to restore my drive(thank the almighty) but it was still fuced up.... thats the reason i will nevr get a pc anymore...im strictly mac.. u can a damn worm or virus from anything... a fucin bad email or something it isucks

nah... most of what i have is the real version of the software. anyways, i figred it out and i did oveclock it like i suspected, and there are these little pins, called "jumpers" and i had to switch those up and it reset my pc.............. that was a nightmare, because the book only has a small section about it and it doesnt really register at first..... anyow thanks guys...... i usualy wind up figuring it out myself, but i always post (after trying for a few hours) and keep working just in case you guys come up with something...
