How do I synchronize the mpc1000 with protools so that I can record each track, on mpc, on different tracks in protools? I.E. so that each track on the mpc is being recorded seperatley in protools

much gratitude in advance,
Chrono

You can only use Midi Time Clock to sync the computer and the mpc together so that they can talk to one another. Plus, the track has to already be composed before u track into the computer.
Generally what you will need is: A midi cable, and as many 1/4 instrument cables as u have to track out of the 6 available outputs. Your interface must also have at least 6 inputs to utilize ALL of the outs on the MPC.

To set things up, go to the OTHER screen and make the appropriate settings for the way your midi cable is plugged in.

In the mixer, go to the outs tab and select what outputs you want each pad to go to, then go back to the level/pan tab and pan the sound on each pad either hard right or hard left depending on what output its going to.
